Cherokee dash to Comanche chassis

Has anyone ever swapped a Cherokee dash and installed it into a Comanche chassis? I am having issues with the dash harness and not having enough pins. My brake lights originally didn’t work. Installed new light bulbs then checked the switch.using my test light I found that Cherokee side I have brake lights. Comanche side is pinned different and not sure if anyone else ran into this issue?

91 Comanche, 92 Cherokee. Connector at kick panel that sends power to fuel pump and powers up all light in rear.

You have to run a wire from the P terminal coming from your multifunction switch to pin 11 on the black XJ dash connector.

Scratched my head over this one when I did my HO swap.

Is the malfunction switch the brake switch?

Pin 11 has 2 wires going to it already. Does that matter?

2 wires already? ummm? better double check the pin connections again.

no. be on the lower side of steering column  blinkers run though this as well as wipers.
