1987 Jeep Comanche TURN SIGNAL/WINDSHEILD WIPER

ok.. so where to start..

I have a 1987 Jeep Comanche 4.0L (MANUAL)

turn signals do not work. Did not when i bought it. Hazards, however do.

i changed the relays and also the switch in center of steering wheel. still no turn signals. Am i missing something.

also windshield wipers do not. i work 2nd shift and its been raining a lot. 

I know that clutch that clutch fluid can wreak gremlin havoc on the fuse panel.

PLEASE ANY HELP will be greatly appreciated.

perhaps bad switch itself. I'm dealing with same on mine currently. i swapped the the whole column out and still no wipers or blinkers.

Welcome to the CC Forum.

 

Look for poor contract on the IGN SW connectors. Been known to overheat and melt.

How is the fuse? Mine worked with a test light, but it wouldn't power the lights because of the extra strain on it.

i changed the fuses just to be on the safe side (also all relays)

i bought a new stalk switch and i was gonna replace it. i hope its just defective. 

i already replaced the center switch (behind the steering wheel} i really hope it helps. 

 

any other ideas please let me know. thanks for all the tips so far

I suspect the ground wire that is located by the windshield washer bottle is broken or bad.
