reevesmanche87
I'm at a bit of a loss. My comanche keeps draining the battery and I have no idea what could possibly be draining it. I figured it was the radio fuse or the dome light fuse so I took those out but it didn't seem to help. Is there anything I could possibly be missing that could be draining my battery? marcial88
Take the battery to an auto parts store if it's good then take the alternator to get it test it. 1986 Jeep Comanche X4WD GM 2.8L V6Front: Stock Dana 30Rear: Stock AMC 20Los Angeles CASent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
jdog
Once those have been verified as good look into amp draw and how to check for amp draw, only other questions I have is which radio fuse did you pull?
JMO413
You should fill out your signature so we all know what you working on. What I finally found in mine was two wires shorted together behind the fuse box.
OldSch88L
My truck had an inappropriatly wired starter relay done by the P.O. where the relay was receiving constant power through the underhood lamp wire instead of the signal wire from the ignition switch. So yes, start with a draw test to at least find from what circuit the draw is coming from. EricTheCarGuy has a great how-to video on this on Youtube, as well as Matt from BleepinJeep as well, IIRC.
