dual diaphragm booster vs hydro-boost

Recommended Posts

Hydroboost is good when you don't have space for a vacuum booster.  Chevy Astro vans have hydroboost that works with stock axles.  It's also good when you're running one ton axles and huge tires.

Cons for hydroboost are increasing the hydraulic plumbing complexity and you need an upgraded pump and cooler.

I run a dual setup out of a wj and have 1 tons with discs all around with 37" krawlers. Can stop on a dime and have avoided many things with my brake setup. Just went to a junkyard to pull and think maybe $40 out the door with an extra resivor. Bolted right in and didnt do anything different other then that and a xj proportion valve that i had on shelf. Works for me and my setup. I would recommend it 👌
