how to remove teh chrome trim along the top of the grille on a renix era Jeep?

was about the only thing salvageable on the front of that 87 XJ but I couldn't figure out how to remove it without breaking it.

I think you have to remove the grill and the headlight bezels, and there are screws under the trim. Did mine quite some time ago. Don't quite remember.

Yeah MJCARENA is right. The top and bottom piece are held in with sheet metal screws.

Pete this might help.  These have been cut down in length to work with an early grill but using later headlight bezels, but you get the idea.
