A good multimeter is a 'buy once, cry once' type of purchase. Yes you can get one for ~$20, but you will not have a good time with it. Trust me, I struggled with a bad one for years. Kept getting weird results, having to double and triple check my work, sometimes it wouldn't work, etc. Get a Fluke.

The above is a paid sponsorship for Renix and Fluke.

Seriously though, if you don't have one get one. Then test the CPS.

Multimeter. If you don't own a decent one that should be your next purchase. Welcome to the wonderful world of Renix. I will also second the read cruisers site. It will save you money, time, and headaches. Steps 1-5 first then you can start testing stuff. CPS being the 1st. IMHO2110225944_IMG_20200724_1903489562.jpg.6f9e87a24c1a0d02aa76b69923957971.jpg

Distributor is brand new and the guy said there's 12 volts at the spark plug

Really?

There should be about 70,000 volts at the spark plugs.
