cherokee
It looks like it's just a little roll pin, but I haven't managed to get one out yet to replace it. Anyone else replaced any?
JOMJ87
I did and yes its a roll pin. I found some at lowes or a carquest shop. Any hardware place should carry the right size. Cole
mjeff87
I snagged a bunch of them a few months ago from the junkyard for some guys on here that needed them. If you can't get any, give me your mailing address and I'll send you a couple..... Jeff
Eagle
How do you get the old ones out? I have a rear door on an XJ that has a busted hinge pin I'd like to replace. Do you just insert a 1/4" punch and flail away with a 3-pound Ford carburetor adjusting tool?

cherokee
So there's no reason to worry about breaking the actual hinge off?

jeepthing07
you can stick 1/4" bolts (ones with a long sholder and cut off the threads) in place of the pins they fit perfect. its what i used when i did my removeable door's

Once it pops out of the hinge, rock it side to side while pulling up and it'll come right out. Jeff
JOMJ87
Mine were rusted BAD but only one had to be drilled out with a 1/4 drill bit. Others just took a few licks with the ole BFH. My 3 lb sledge was great for it and i didnt break my hinges off. Cole
