Clutch Fan stuck on pulley

Has anyone ran into this one?  I removed all four nuts but the clutch fan seems stuck to the pulley.  Even a couple light blows to try and loosen it do nothing.

 

Was considering heat but open to other solutions.

Could be stuck on there really good. Give it a good couple blows and it should wiggle free. It all depends on how rusted it all is.

don't hit it hard you could damage the bearing, soak it with some penetrating oil and see if it loosens

Rock it back and forth, side to side. Unless your rig was a salt baby, it will eventually rock its way off. Also, when you deal with removing this fan, undo but do not remove the fan shroud, and slide a sheet of cardboard in between the rad and shroud. Trying to remove the shroud before the fan can result in rad tube damage. Maveric and I ran into that, lost the replacement rad we dropped in.

VERY GOOD TIP to avoid radiator damage with fans that don’t want to come off easily!👍
