After checking under i realized the cables coming out of the reverse light switch were broken. So i got a replacement. However I can not find a male connecter for my switch. I'm lost. jdog
Right side of the engine should be near the firewall and heater hoses, there will be a plug

jdog
But it should be a four pin weather pak to a two pin connector, the other two wires on the weather pak is a jumper
eaglescout526
When I got my truck someone had replaced the connector which probably melted from the trans or exhaust heat and used some spade connectors in the factory connectors place I haven't an idea why it was done. But like jdog is saying theres a four pin connector on the passenger side of the engine bay right by the fire wall and engine. Should be the only wiring harness going to the trans aside from whatever 4 wheel drive harness there is.

eaglescout526
Yeah, GM weatherpaks can be had cheap already premade and ready to splice into your existing harness. I have mine spliced in using spade connectors.

87MJ_
Added the fuse, and no luck, I'm running out of ideas 😂😂, anybody got any suggestions.
87MJTIM
Get a test light. Put a fuse in. With KOEO, put the trans into reverse. Test the power into the reverse switch, C111, BLK w/ Yel. Test power out of reverse switch, C111, BRW, w/WHT. If no power out of the switch, then replace switch. If both of these are good, move to the rear. Test wire at rear harness C159, BRW w/ WHT. If power getting to the rear, then test the sockets. If any of these do not light the test light search for breaks before the fail point. Between C111 and C159, there are several connectors (C104, 157, 158) that all have BRW w/ WHT wires. Wire breaks or corrosion could disrupt the power.
