Dammerung
Just ordered an alternator off of RA. Are they reputable or should I try to cancel while I still can? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
87MJTIM
It depends on the brand of alternator. Rock Auto is good retailer. RA has great prices, even when shipping is included. As for the alternator, what brand? new or reman?
tugboat95
80% of the parts i bought to rebuild my Suburban came from there. Buy the name brand product. My other go to online store is 1AAuto.com. they carry a lot of routine parts and free shipping. Best thing about them is the How to videos if they've done your vehicle. Lots of Chevy 1500 videos.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original

Dzimm
You are fine. ACDelco is a good brand and Rockauto is a good retailer.

I didn’t want to chance it with a rebuilt unit. Ordered a brand new ac Delco on rock auto over a year ago and it has worked flawlessly. Complete plug and play no mods or anything. No issues. I daily drive my Comanche about 50 miles a day. Volt gauge shows 14v at idle. I also did cruisers tips.
tugboat95
A.c. Delco was always my first choice on my old Suburban. They made most GM original parts. I'm not sure just when or what as I'm new to the Jeep game, but it's my understanding Jeep bought a lot of stuff from GM. And pieced them together on the Jeeps.89 ComancheEliminator2wd4.0L5 speed PukeGoatFactory Original

Overall very positive, but you have to watch what you order....they have cheap crap parts listed along with the premium ones. Just depends on what you need/want. I will also plug 1A auto^^^^ I've ordered from them numerous times, and the how-to videos come in handy sometimes. Excellent customer service if you have a problem (I've never interacted with RA customer service so I can't comment one way or the other).
