intake questions

Hey Guys.

Has anyone used the Rusty's off road throttlebody spacer for the 89 4.0L ?

Does it make a signifficant difference and How about the Rusty's air intake with K&N filter was there noticable gains with either product or combined. the reason is I'm looking to increase my fuel mileage on a stock 89 eliminator.

A TB spacer will give you no gains at all.

 

Bore your TB out, than your talking about gains.

Multi port injection simply doesn't care about the extra 1" of space. Maybe for a carb or TBI, but I still wouldn't put my money into one.

I say if you could wrap the exhaust to keep the intake air cooler. you would do better then any kinda thicker gasket.

ive got the rusty's tube and 6x9 k&n filter... i dunno if i gained power but probably... and idk if you've ever heard a 4.0 with a k&n kickin it at WOT... but its a meaaan growl.
