jeeptec1 Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 88 Comanche, I did the power booster upgrade today. I drilled out the hole on the booster rod as instructed on all the forums. I ground the booster rod end flat. As i push the brake pedal it doesn’t move the brake switch. It’s supposed to rotate slightly to turn on the brake lights. I saw in another forum someone used a painless 4 terminal universal switch as they had the same issue. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Big Dan Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Check to ensure the fuse is good.I thought I hadn't machined the rod correctly and went to a standard push type brake switch... Still didn't work.Turns out I blew the fuse whole messing around with everything.Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
jeeptec1 Posted March 15, 2020 Author Posted March 15, 2020 If you rotate the switch on the rod end the lights come on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jeep Driver Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 I went through several OEM style switches, get it set to function then a month later it stopped working. Got tired of it and went to the standard and simple switch.

Big Dan Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 What size screws did you use? Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
cruiser54 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 You likely ground too much off the switch, or have the bolts and nuts in wrong.
