Yes, it's progress.  Hopefully I'll have the other side in place tomorrow. 

 

I may have intentionally done the passenger side first so I wouldn't have to look at the crappy-er welds every time I got in the truck

Both inner pieces are in!  

 

Didn't suffer too much distortion from the welding; it all fits beautifully!!

Just curious but how do you plan on having it terminate at the fender?

I'll close the end of the rockers in; probably "slash" at the same angle as the wheel well opening.  Not 100% sure on how the fender will secure to the body.  Might be as simple as a little bent sheet metal bracket and a bolt tab welded inside the fender.  We'll see.

Pretty sure my own square tube rocker project got interrupted back in 2019, so...

Rockers were one of the initial reasons this truck went under the knife - then they end up being the LAST thing buttoned up before primer.  Strange how things go like that.
