I have an 88 comanche. The truck is turning over, but it’s not firing. Any help?

Check the obvious first, pull a plug and check for spark first, if you have spark now check fuel, you should be able to clearly hear the pump kick on once you turn the key over in the on position

I’ll try both. I replaced the battery cables and battery because the battery was basically junk and the cables had big chunks of insulation taken out. Previous owner put grease on. Wonder if I sparked them?

Is the pump something you’ll continually hear? Or is it a click?

As soon as you turn the key to the on position you'll hear an obvious hum for about 2 or 3 seconds

So what was it?

Blew a fuse and replaced it, but it wasn’t fully making a connection
