Yeah, pretty solid.. got some rot in the floors, but not too bad. ,, A bit on the roof drip rail, but that can be dealt with.... Headlight relay harness? What's the dealie-o? fiatslug87 Posted June 30, 2019 Share Posted June 30, 2019 Factory wiring has full power going through the headlight switch which can overheat and melt/start a fire. The wiring harness Pete mentioned has power running through relays that are activated by the headlight switch instead of power coming through the switch. So i needed something to motivate me on the Comanche... I picked up some 15 x 7 TJ Canyons and put them on today.. Well, I am very pleased with the look and am now motivated! Also, they were only $140 TOTAL for all four, with tires, so i couldn't pass up on that deal... I just "assumed" TJ Canyon, since that is what i was looking for (not noting the small nuances). tango68ss Posted November 9, 2023 Author Share Posted November 9, 2023 Well, it's been three years and the MJ has been sitting in the yard, not being used... So, I finally dragged her out from under the tree; got her running; hauled her to the shop; looked at the underside and determined she is worthy of a rebuild... My real concern was a rusty frame. As it turns out, the frame is rock solid, just alot of undercoating "peeling" off... the floors are gone, but that's easy since the uni-body framerails are still intact... Now begins the journey!
