Pete M
this isn't the first example I've noticed, just the most recent because I need to replace the hose on my folks' trailer. NO ONE is spending a grand on a stupid propane hose. note that he's sold 2 or "them" so far. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Propane-Hose-Adapter-1-lb-to-20-lb-Propane-Conversion-Hose-LP-Trip-Grill-4-Ft/253721909587?hash=item3b13011953:g:x4EAAOSwDyBbN9lQ

Pete M
so it's a way to skimp out on ebay fees? I'm ok with that.
HOrnbrod
There are no listing / relisting fees for sellers or fees for the selling price on Ebay. When the item sells there is an insertion fee and a fixed percentage of the selling price depending on what category the item is.
Pete M
soooo, to save time by changing prices instead of writing up a new listing? that's less awesome but I'll allow it.

Once upon a time when it was an "auction" site it was awesome, but now they poke you for everything. There's a lot of junk and "big box" items you can get anywhere. Don't know if it's a "front", but it wouldn't surprise me.

Yes much faster to revise a listing meant to lose it and have to create a new one especially if you are trying to manage 250 listings
kryptronic
They could just as easily reduce stock on the listings to zero temporarily, and it would have the same effect (not ending the listing). This is how most legitimate business handle stock situations with Amazon and eBay.
