Ruxus
Is there any obvious reason that I should check? Not really sure what makes a fuse blow, is it a short or to much load? /Mathias Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

Does fuse blow when new fuse is installed (key off) or when new fuse is installed and you step on the brake pedal? You might need lots of fuses to solve this. Ruxus
It does not blow right away, it works for a while when I put a new one in.Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Ruxus
Noticed now that the fuse don't seem to be blown. But both hazard and brake lights don't work.Is there difference between fuses. When I changed the fuse last time I put in a cheap one with a led in it. Gonna change back to the old ones just to be certain. The electric system on these really seem to have a life of its own.....Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
carnuck
Bulbs both burnt out this time? Trailer harness tends to get rubbed through by the bumper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
carnuck
Try the ground inside the driver tail light area after pulling the tail light. Ive had weird issues there before its a quick easy check, should be done periodically anyhow and costs nothing. If that one is bad it’s usually going to shut off the fuel pump too. Kind of odd that your hazard won't work if the brakelight switch malfunctionsSkickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Ωhm
Was it the Pink wire? 88 wiring diagram. Fuse feeds both hazard flasher and brake switch.

My plug melted so badly it was unusable. I just rewired for the Ford switch. Bad switch and I'm done with those.
Ruxus
Yes, what made it melt... my guess is a bad connection. Someone has been tampering a lot with the wires around the fusebox. I found a whole lot of different wire connectors and odd splices under there. It was a black wire that had snapped. Thanks for the input everyone/mathiasSkickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
gogmorgo
The brakes and hazard lights use the same filaments in the taillight bulbs, so if the brake light switch shorts out then you'll have issues with the hazard lights. You'll notice if you have the hazards on they'll quit blinking and just go solid when you hit the brakes.
