kill_burst Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Recently upgraded to a odyssey battery. Is it beneficial to upgrade to a high output alternator? Will this maximize the performance of the AGM battery? Running just a few accessories like a couple offroad lights and a winch. Thanks
DirtyComanche Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 The only time it will matter is if you're winching for a long time. A worthwhile upgrade, but certainly not a requirement.

MeanLemons Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 If you upgrade the alternator, don’t forget to upgrade the cables to match as well

Is there a better alternator out there, off a dodge maybe, that would be a wise choice?
johnj92131 Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Just looked on DIY forum, didn't see one. Know there is a 130+ amp Dodge upgrade. Check Cherokee forum. Cruiser or Don may have a link. Then Please do a DIY write up for us here.
