dustyinthedirt Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 I have found some smokers windows (notsure ifthats what the moveable triangle windows in the doors are called). They are a cherokee in a pickapart yard. The doors are electric windows and the panels are crap. My questions is: Is it easier to remove the window and restall it in my doors? Or install the manuel window regulators in the other doors?
Strokermjcomanche Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Easier to switch just the smokers windows . Be sure to bring a drill battery so you can lower the power windows to get the vent window out . When you lower the window you'll have to pull the nut (or torx bolt ) to allow the window to go all the way to the bottom of the door to allow enough room to pull the vent window .

Strokermjcomanche Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Yes , if the yard will allow you to . I have a pigtail that I keep in my junkyard bag that I use so I don't have to cut theirs , or you can use some wire and spade connectors .
Pete M Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 be aware that the vent windows are prone to whistling and leaks. sometimes a penny shoved into the latch can help.

dustyinthedirt Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 I got the windows out and they are in great shape!! Thanks Stroker for the idea to use a electric drill battery! It worked great. I had people stop and ask me how I did got the window to go down to easily lol
