Has anyone cut the floor out of an XJ to place in their MJ?

My MJ floor ia pretty jacked up and the XJ donor I have has a perfect floor. Repop floors are not expensive or anything but is it worth trying to use the XJ floor?

Even the best aftermarket floor pan will require some "massaging"  and fab work to make fit....so your simple equation is this.......re-pop pans $$$$ = your time to remove the xj pans...if the numbers work for you....

Yea, I guess my main concern is quality. I figured that, even if it required more work, the quality of the XJ floor would be superior to repop floors...and free doesn't hurt either.

I replaced the floors in my XJ and the quality of the repro floors was pretty good.   As yxmj said above some massaging was required but it was pretty straight forward.   If you just need some small pieces out of an old XJ I can see you doing that but if you're replacing the whole floor I think that would be a bit of work.

I think that will be what I end up doing. Going with aftermarket floor pans and then cutting out little odds and ends from the XJ.

Pulling the floor from the XJ would be more work than it is worth. The number of spot welds you would have to drill out to get the complete floor out would be astronomical. I have used patches from a parts XJ for my MJ floor pans.
