Transmission or clutch issue

Recommended Posts

So got up this morning at 4am, its 36 degrees outside and i had to bypass my heater core the yesterday cause it was leaking bad. Left the house bundled up and cruising on the interstate to meet up with a jeep and there was some clanking noises (not many) then the transmission stopped receiving power from the engine (engine act like tranny was not in gear). The clutch also felt like it lost pressure. Coasted to a stop on the side of the interstate and called AAA. 2 hours later I'm home with the jeep. I let it sit for a while and now the clutch has pressure but when i put it into gears 1,2,3,5 and Reverse, Nothing happens. Only 4th gear seems to work.

At first i thought maybe the clutch blew out, but now I'm wondering if the tranny died. Thoughts?

This is in reference to my Blue Comanche, see sig for details.

Transmission's shot. 4th gear is the 1:1 ratio, straight through engagement. There's something wrong the shift fork and/or sleeve to engage the other gears.

These.

She's broken.

Junkyard replace, rebuild yourself, buy a reman, or buy a new one.
