1990 Comanche Engine Blew

Today when I was driving my Jeep the engine blew.

I have located a rebuilt 96 cherokee with a 15000 engine for $800 asking price. The rear end is out of it.

My question is will that engine work in my 1990?

99% chance that it will, take out everything: engine, tranny, Tcase, crossmember, shafts and axles if you you have to so it will bolt right in...

It will work , you'll need to swap some parts around though .... 15 k miles ? That's some low mileage ....

It sounds like if you take the replacement engine down to the long block stage it will work.
