Help ID this part

A friend of mine with a 90 MJ pioneer is replacing his front axle seals and discovered this broken plastic piece. Any help with what it's called or even a part number would be nice. Its located behind the 4we actuator on the driver side of the axle housing.

Is it a delaminated part of #26 in the above diagram? PN 83504813.

He says it is plastic.... The collars I. Have seen are metal??

The description Morris gives says it is metal and rubber.  I've never worked on the axles so I don't know.  :dunno:

please excuse the interruption of this thread

 

if rebuilding the dana 30 to be non-disconnect using solid axles, is this bearing needed? or is it replaced with the seal?
