Tj1
I recently talked to a guy with a rolled over 98 XJ with less miles on it than my MJ. Seeing how scrap prices are down he said it's mine for $300. I figured I can finally get rid of the CAD front, replace the tired 88 renix, replace the dash/add the floor shifter, and replace all the wires (some causing lots of grounding issues). Is there anything I should hang on to from the renix like front drive shaft, injectors, or anything random like that? Stuff to keep to help out CC members looking for stock items? DirtyComanche
You're looking to do a complete HO swap then? Somebody will probably want all the Renix sensors, controls, wiring, and ECM. 88 isn't a desirable year as far as the harness and ECM goes, but it's worth throwing in a box and putting on the shelf. cruiser54
We need more detail as to what swap you're wanting to make. I part out Renix Jeeps as a hobby, so let us know and I'll try to steer you in the right direction.

I plan to replace front axle, motor, trans, t-case, wiring harness, dash, sterring column, add in the floor shifter all from the 98 XJ

Tj1
Cruiser do you know if the 98 t-case will accept the 88 rear drive shaft or will I have to tear down and swap parts?

Rockfrog
The size and spline counts are the same, but the way they seal is completely different. It's best to match the slip yoke on the driveshaft to the seal style (internal/external) on the 'case.
