Jaxso32 Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Random and probably dumb question but does anyone know if a 5.7l hemi would fit in a comanche? I'm guessing it would be to wide to fit in between the frame rails but kinda curious
daking Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 There have been a few HEMI swaps to XJ's. Same engine bay. There are hood clearance issues, however, I think if they swapped in a 5.7 truck intake it may solve that. The ones I've seen wore using the 5.7 car intake. I was thinking of doing a Hemi in my jeep, but then decided on just stroking the 4.0

gogmorgo Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 Yup. 4.0's (and most I6's) are pretty big lumps of cast iron. Either way though, factory MJ weight distribution is like 65/35 f/r like most other trucks, so you really wouldn't notice much difference.
