INjake89mj
My brother sent me the Craigslist link yesterday, and everything fell together. 1989 Eliminator 4.0 5sp 2wd Dana 35 Has factory fogs with covers, decent set of turbines with caps, no uncommon options that I am aware of. The previous owner was an older gentleman that has been going through some medical issues. I assume that's why he was selling. He had a scrambler in the garage that was half done on restoration. He gave me a stack of manuals and sold my brother a set of 5 turbines for $50. They're in pretty good shape. The deal included a 1987 Cherokee chief. It is 4.0 5sp 4x4 with a bad engine and tons of rust, tan interior. The MJ has a bad throw out bearing, so may do a 4x4 swap with the Cherokee parts. Haven't thought much about it yet. the paint is obviously shot, but overall its a straight truck with minimal rust. The floorboards need attention but not rusted through. One rocker is showing rust also, but you can't beat a Comanche in this condition in the middle of the rust belt! Ive always loved the Chief decals! these are the turbines my brother bought, with original tires New radiator and recovery tank a not long ago interior looks pretty good. Needs cleaning and some missing parts replaced i still need to go through all of the manuals to see exactly what I got, I know the Renix electrical manual and troubleshooting manual has been put on here to download. I have it printed off already but having an original is pretty cool! This was the convoy coming home! The roll back and service truck are a friend from work. Me and Matthew have both hired him to drag crap home for us. That roll back is pretty handy for this kinda stuff! I was stuck at work and not able to go, so its nice to have friends and family that can get the deal done for you!
FarmerBrown5
Definitely a cool guy to meet! He asked if I would want the manuals for both vehicles and I told him yes. Next thing I know he is making two trips for all of these books haha! Scored a couple of scrambler shop service manuals. He was parting with everything but the Scrambler yesterday. Glad I noticed the turbines too....who knows where they would have went if I did not drag them home. He had a book that he kept all of his service records on. He had owned the comanche since 1996 and the chief a little before that. It sat for 10 years under a tarp and was used for parts to keep the comanche going. It was obvious he was sad to see them go, but I assured him that the cherokee will be went through and not tossed in the trash and that the comanche will likely become a project for a daily and not be wheeled. He said he has been doing what we all do since he was able to drive. Maybe we will see him again soon about a scrambler :brows:

INjake89mj
Drove it around last night. Runs and drives surprisingly well! That was the first time ever driving a vehicle with the BA10, definitely not as refined as the AX15!
