Hi guys,

My english is a bit tacky but I'm gonna try to describe my question.

Here goes:

I'm gonna fabricate my own long arms for my MJ and got one question. I'm planning on doing the "high clearance" type with a small bend on the arm. When i look at long arms kit mounted on XJ/MJ's it seems like the arms on each side are leaning in a bit. Probably so that the arm won't hit the frame when flexing? If so, is the front rubber bushing welded a little of centered in some way so that the arm leans in a bit? Or how do you get the arm to lean in towards the center of the truck?

You guys get what i mean??

Thanks // Johan in Sweden

Mine are attached to cross member, you cut the old stock upper control arm mount off, the bends start about half way on the actual control arm. The axle mounts on mine stay in the same location.

I think you can see what i mean on this these RC arms. If you compare the angle on the rubber end with the tube ,they seems to be bent "two ways" both upwards and inwards.

The upper mounts on your axle are in board of your lowers. That is why they are angled towards the inside.

That type of arm is called radius arms.

Those arms mount on the lower mount on the axle and the smaller arm mounts between the long arm and the upper mount.
