88whitemanche
What transmission and transfer combo are you going for? Boostwerks transfer case linkage is best bang for your buck depending on your combo....

chris71
well i ended up pulling a stock tc shifter from a cherokee , i think i'm just going to use it and remove the z linkage system, and use the cable system to connect the tc to the shifter . think it should be ok . Jackrabbit41
Get the boost works kit. 41$ and it's perfect. I've newer tried the Novak kit but I have no complaints with the boost works kit plus it's way less $$$
Blue XJ
I have the Novak cable setup on mine, no complaints at all. Easy to install and adjust, has worked fine for 3 or 4 years now.
chris71
thanks i'm looking into the novak cable since i don't have any of the brackets , only picked the stock shifter from a 96 cherokee the brackets and the z linkage was already gone , and i like the fact that the novak system comes with the brackets . I have a cable shifter on my MJ and I bought because I didn't have the brackets. It's awesome. Mine was a PITA to install but after I got it adjusted correctly, it shifts like butter. Other then the actual shift lever, you don't need any sort of brackets for the boostwerks kit
