Rear bumper suggestions?

I just made this on sketch up. First time 3d modeling. The dimensions aren't perfect but this is what i want to build. I'm trying to keep my truck nice and protected without going full on cage and stuff like that. Any body have any ideas about this? thanks

I like it. That is exactly what I am going to do for mine. You will want to tie the wings into the frame as well.

Looks similar to mine. Definitely tie the sides into the frame. I didnt and i came down on a rock and out a little dent in the bed.

you could also tie it into some tube fenders and rock sliders that is what i would like to do with mine like a full wrap. i don't really like full exo cages either

Ya I'm going to work on it so more and add some tie ones and mock up the frame mounts

Will 1/4 be enough for mounting tabs or should I go with 3/8?

Mine is tied into my stiffeners so i didnt use tabs. It was 3/8" thick i believe, as i also wanted it beefy for tire supprt.

My entire truck is bedlined with Monstaliner. So the black stuff is just black truck bed liner.
