banshee
It just comes on at random may stay on for minutes or halfway home? Not in 4 wheel drive, Leaver seems to be in normal spot Ideas??
Incommando
There is a sensor in the top of the t-case ( at least in the later 231's) that screws up.
Pete M
a square piece of electrical tape will fix it right up.
Eagle
What year, and do you have a functioning axle disconnect?
banshee
87 removed disconnect, the thing is the light don't work at all in 4 wheel drive
ParadiseMJ
Did you remove and cap all the vac lines to and from the axle, t-case and switch? The Renix switch for the light is actuated by vacuum. The Renix switch on the t-case is actuated by vacuum. If your CAD is locked over (disconnect removed) then having the vacuum lines there at all isn't necessary and all the metal lines, rubber lines and disco servo should either be gone or capped. Check the little blue switch under the coolant bottle for a dangling wire or vac line, that is the switch for the light (vacuum actuated)
cruiser54
This is what Paradise XJ is referring to. Strip the vacuum lines anyway. The transfer case lever is a good enough indicator. Image Not Found

wvzj
You can change the t-case switch to a newer 2 wire switch if you want the light to work without the vacuum madness. I have the part numbers and some pics on page 2 of my build thread.
