Scalped
when I am excellerating sometimes there is a red arrow pointing upward that lights up on far left of the dash. Sorry if this is a stupid question Thx Steve
JeepsOLot
It's an Upshift arrow. I assume you have a manual transmission. This is telling you to upshift at the point it comes on for best fuel economy, I believe. For me, it wants me to shift too early. If it bothers you, just take the bulb out, no harm will come with doing that. Jerry

gogmorgo
It's the warning lamp fitted to bring to attention an airplane attempting to use the road you're on for an emergency landing. Follow the direction and look up next time you see it. If it's going off when no aircraft are present, replace it. Keep in mind a tall building or large tree in full leaf can trigger a false alarm. Why no other vehicles were fitted with this very helpful safety feature is a mystery to me. Or, you know, what the other guy said...

jimoshel
There is a serious flaw in the sensors as they will only activate with a larger aircraft. A smaller one, such as a Piper J3 or TaylorCraft will not trigger the light.

Incommando
So my OSDP ( opposite sex domestic partner) calls me at 5:40 in the morning last week. She goes to work at 6. Anyway she had pulled over because there was a strange warning light on the dash of her 2014 Traverse and she was afraid something was wrong with the car. To her credit she checked the owners manual and could not find this warning light..... She had accidentally turned on the fog lights for the first time..... And yes that is the kind of think that will excuse many 5:40 am phone calls.
