looking good. i have the clear lenses on my xj with the 97 conversion. if you got them off ebay don't tighten the side markers all the way down till they warm up or you will crack them. they don't have the same contour as the factory ones but look great.

I have been looking at the Pro Max head for my 2.5 as well, but reviews are few and far between. Did it come to you spotless with smooth machine work done? Has it been decked? Where did you pick up the new valvetrain components? Would you mind sharing how much $$$ you have tied up in the remanufaced head assembly? I am debating going the Pro Max route or pulling my head and having my engine builder take care of it.

NIce truck and nice updates  I like the direction you are going with this truck.

Well I paid 250 for head bare. It cost me 150 fir the rest of valves,springs,seals...400 total...I didn't have any problems with it ..everything was lined up and seemed fine and just put in.....the machine work was smooth! U will save having your old 1 checked and magna...considering your head is fine ,valves etc..new seals of course tho...!!if not u loose out lol ,then either a used 1 or like I did.. I haven't ran it a bunch but will see how it works (it better hold up )))))...Thankyou I'm pleased so far.. I'm changing things and not going to tie up alot of money in this yet.. just want the ride to look a little better and be machanicly sound! I shopped around git the valves on ebay and the seals...git the springs from summit bc they were 3 bcks a peice!

got front 97 conversion pretty much done..just add black grill and bezels when I get them... I painted with some free paint I had in cans and if anything it will work for primer later. But for now I have 7 cans of this stuff and not a dime fir it ..so I'm using it all. I have a few runs at front clip as I didn't quite sand them down far enough from po....who was awful at putting a front header on the jeep I pulled at yard..I had to add the plastic inserts to it for lights, but I had those on old grill .... i need to sand and the body work where the big Crack was on header panel still..I ran a channel of metal behind it and screwed from the back side through and then cut the ends with zip disk...jb welded etc.. seems solid!

Well I sanded and sanded and had added more glass last night...I finally laid the felt material I got at Walmart with 3m 90 and I got 1 dang wrinkle but I will deal with it.. just git in a hurry I guess.. I took the girls blow dryer and kept petting the stuff down and working it.. I will get the sides wrapped around after this sets up good.

Well I added fey bumper and also decided I would throw 20bcks for another set if steel rims with 2 decent tires..I will paint them black like I did the xj I posted pick of earlier. It's cheap and looks way better than what I have now..Eventually I will look to find a set of rubicon wheels fir a good price, but for now this will be sufficient.

Update; Thank God for Google I did a Web search and figured out the wiring fir the overhead console out off the buick silhouette.. I am preparing the wires for console etc.. it has a self contained compass and a ambient temp sensor I will purchase at gm most likely as its around 10bcks.

Update: I made a trip to the yard, found a gray console, and I got guage cluster to get rid of dummies! I also picked up some seat tops that were gray ,they are mismatched bc my seats are tan but so be it..I like them with the slots though them and I'm keeping my oem seats.

Image Not Found I have got outside almost covered up in paint. I am waiting on bezels and grill to come in. I've drove the Truck to work for almost 2 wks and seems to be doing very well. I love the guage swap. I will have to do that in my other truck as well. I will be ordering a stereo soon with Bluetooth and possibly more. I also am going to put the 1 inch pucks on front and look at front end for bushing replacements if needed. if anyone has any ideas I really want a rear sway bar setup. I figured I could get 1 off the rear of any cherokee perhaps? I also will get glass replaced soon as it's bad and upgrade to the rubber seal. I still have a bad ground or somthing bc my front parking lights won't light up and everything else works..also right blinker light on dash stays on but I will look into that.

Here's some picts ..I will hold them in my garage for awhile as I will need tires for mine and the other set is for my wife's cherokee . I went up a few sizes on rim. First pict is the wheels for this Truck, other for cherokee.

I also got led for dash and overhead console.. they work great..I have a small problem in the front running lights and I think it's screwing with the guage cluster too. Some lights work and others don't. I also have 1 blinker with a steady light so I figured there's a bad wire somewhere up for causing interference?? Anyhow it's been driving 2 wks now and doing well. Just have to get the bugs worked out.
