dunnc1991
So I've seen in older topics about people buying new spring perches from the dealer. I called my local dealer today, and the guy had no idea what I was talking about and said they didn't stock those. Anyone know if these are still available, if so where to get them? Thanks Chris
Incommando
You can get cheap little perches from Jegs, Summit, etc.... Look under their Mopar section http://www.jegs.com/i/Mopar-Performance/312/P4120074/10002/-1 You can get high quality perches from Barnes4x4 or RuffStuff for a few bucks more. SUA http://www.barnes4wd.com/Spring-Under-Perch-Pair_p_309.html SOA http://www.barnes4wd.com/Anti-Wrap-Leaf-Spring-Perch-Pair-30-Axle-Tube-25-Wide-Leaf-Spring_p_88.html You need a 3" tube cut out for an 8.25. dunnc1991
Those mopar ones might be the ones I'm referencing. The thread is from back in 2010, Eagle and CW were talking about some super nice perches they could pick up from the dealer.

dunnc1991
I reused mine, if you are careful........... Yea, I know that's been done. However I've donie this before, and I'm nowhere near careful enough to remove them in one piece
Eagle
http://www.mopar.com/assets/pdf/performance/catalog/Steering_Suspension_&_Brakes.pdf Scroll down to page 10 (page #134 on the page image). Go back and tell your dealer's parts monkey to get his head out of his posterior.
88ComancheMitch
I reused mine. If/When I go a 8.8 Ford, I will definitely be buying new perches instead of reusing.

Just from being a Mopar nut who runs around with other Mopar nuts I know that finding a dealer with in-stock Mopar Performance parts for vehicles like our trucks or hot rods that are decades old is getting harder. Heck even Amazon has these for about $15. part # P4120074
Eagle
No dealer keeps Performance Catalog parts in stock, but they can order them and have them in 2 to 3 days. They are cheaper from a jeep dealer than just about anywhere else, and they're very heavy duty and high quality. (They should be -- they are intended for use on high horsepower drag race cars.) banshee
Just a thought, mine came from TSC off the shelf say 15 or 20 bucks O mine is for a ford 8.8 so I know they have yours
Blue XJ
I bought a set from Autozone, they were Mr Gasket brand, have held up to heavy wheeling for about 8 years now. I think they were $12.

I am spoiled. I am 55 miles from Jegs and about 125 miles from Summit. Even standard shipping sometimes gets to me next day. I just didn't think of ordering through a dealer as being faster because for me it usually isn't.
Jeep Driver
Check with your local trailer builder or trailer supply company, such as http://americantrailerparts.com/pages/# They are local to me and it's where I got my 9/16 Ubolts from. But they have all sizes of bolts, perches, shims......just about anything axle related......and cheaper than elsewhere.
dunnc1991
Thanks for the info guys. I'll probably just order them online, rather then deal with the dealership. I don't need them right away anyway

Timeless
Buy Barnes or Ruffstuff. Antiwrap perches are the way to go (assuming SOA). If not, I think both make SUA perches too.
