Yes.

It was in the exhaust manifold. HO had it in the headpipe.

3 sensors on the lower left of engine. CTS, O2, knock.

Harness for them runs from front of injector rail kinda down behind the power steering pump.

And should I be using a 88 style o2 or 98 style?

I'm wanting to install a a/f ratio gauge, so could I replace the stock with a wideband and splice it into the 88 harness?

If the ECU and injection system is still the '88 Renix system, use the O2 sensor for an '88. If you swapped in the newer Chrysler ECU and injection when you swapped the motor, then use the O2 sensor for the year of the vehicle from which you took the wiring harness.

That's what I was figuring. What about the WBo2? Any input on that?

You can install a stand alone WB on anything if it has it's own O2 sensor.

As far as compatibility, the Renix O2 sensor is not compatible with WB.

The 98 has two narrow band O2 sensors, upstream and downstream. One before the catalyst, one after.

A wideband O2 sensor does not replace the narrow band sensor(s) you have now. You still need to keep the original Renix or HO O2s, whatever system you have, to feed the ECU. The wideband O2 sensor is stand-alone and it's only purpose in life is to provide the input for a wideband A/F meter or data recorder. To install it you need to weld an additional bung on the downpipe and wire it up.

Thanks guys! I already have a bung and meter. Just need the sensor. Any ideas of the cheapest place to get one? Looks like 1.8t vws had wbo2 from factory. Would one of those work for the gauge? Its an autometer analog gauge
