curious, what's the different with an Olympic edition MJ from '88? Anything special aside from the paint job?

I found one that is a 4 speed manual... so what transmission would it be using?

There's also the AX4, but I don't know what years/models it was available in.

My old '88 YJ Laredo had the olympic decal in the window of the hardtop :D Haven't found on on my '88 MJ yet.

The t-4 might have been used in some MJs in 86 (ands 84-86 XJs), but 87 and later 4-speed manuals should be AX-4 trannys. It's just an AX-5 (little brother to the AX-15) without overdrive.

My Olympic edition consisted of decals. Little Olympic emblems and a big ugly gold stripe. I simply painted over them.

oddly enough it's a I6 4.0 ... see if that boggles you now hehehe ;)

Hmm, I have an 88 Olympic Edition. Mine didn't have any stripes, even when new. Just a couple of little decals on the back window.

I'd bet a lot of '88s came with the olympic decals in the window, I know my '88 YJ did and it was a Laredo, not an olympic edition. I'm guessing the window stickers don't make it an olympic edition.

The Olympic thing didn't supercede the normal trim levels. It was simply a sticker thing. (and ugly ones at that when the sticker is gold and the truck is dark red like mine *gag*)

Jeep on!
