Looking At A 92 Xj

so guys, I'm looking at a 92 xj this week and was wondering what to look for besides the usual. it's  a 4.0l w/4x4. body is good as is the interior. do I need to check under the carpet like our manchees? the add say everything works including the front drive system. he's asking 1400.

XJs are prone to floorboard rust just as our trucks are. The problem usually stems from leaks through the firewall and that part of an XJ is identical to an MJ. As long as everything works and it drives/shifts reasonably well (at this price point don't expect perfection, but I'm guessing you already know this), $1400 ain't bad.

Have a good ok at the unibody frame.....especially at the rear were the springs attach.......and like mentioned the floorboards and rockers are were the rust starts  :thumbsup:
