It's also becoming more diverse! We're finally getting 2wd owners in more often and more hardcore guys that are interested in backhalving their rigs. Definitely a change from everyone wondering about 3" lifts like a year ago (not that there's anything wrong with asking about that).

Its crazy how much its grown. I was over here for 2 months before i got a chance to check on the site and i couldnt believe all the new people. It is crazy how it exploded but something else that stikes me is everyone on the site still gets along. Even though there are all these new people everyone seems to mesh..

This place is always a joy to hang out. Everyone is friendly. Must be an inherent MJ owner thing. This site is my favorite to check in a read. Seems like Pirate and NAXJA is full of people who think they are too cool and too hardcore. I won't even post on Pirate anymore. I'm just not hardcore enough on 35's I suppose.

Great place... great people!

don't you have a white one that's in pretty decent shape?

see the problem with that manche is... the motor is currently powering that trail-rig XJ that my brother flipped a week after the motor swap...

you prolly remember those pics?

It truly is a comanche thing, we are diverse group of people many whom bring a great deal of knowledge from other sources and some of us who have only worked on our comanches. The wisdom available here is unlike any other auto forums. My dad is always waitng for answers on the dune buggy site he uses but I can post a question here and have multiple reponses within hours.

This is one of the net's best sites.

I agree. i'm one of the guys who wrenches on manches...but i specialize in the 2.8's and the renault. never messed with the 4.0 much and only a couple 2.5's.

i do snowmobiles and volkswagons other than that lol. but the basic knowledge can be applied to everything if you get the concepts, and it helps that my dad is a diesel mechanic (was). he's got more know-how than any other mechanic I will ever meet. which helpse me out a ton. then if there's something I don't know, you guys help fill in the margins for me! I truly use this site more than any other, and am grateful for it's very existance.

thanks Pete!

 You guys are very welcome. :D But I can't take credit for starting it. Tom (aka: Aslith) started the Yahoo group back in 2000. I didn't discover it until early 02. It was a great group back then too (albeit smaller). The screen names may have changed a bit over the years, but it still feels like home.

Hopefully pretty soon I'll be getting some tutoring on cPanel and then we can start working on the rest of the comancheclub website. :typing:
