dscowell
Curious to see if anyone would be interested in any trail runs this year. I'd be up for just about anything although the farther away it is the more I'd prefer it be more then one day.
djdr1988
If you're interested, a few friends and I go to 7 mile memorial day weekend. We camp out and run the trail. Kelly Flats is also near there. If it's open this year that is
dscowell
Sweet May be going there soon. I heard sevenmile doesn't have the closed sign anymore so for all I know is it is open. Kelly flats I have no clue. But if you go I'd be up for it if you go!
djdr1988
Ok. We go memorial day weekend. 7 mile is almost always open at that time. Kelly was closed last year.

djdr1988
It is up by redfeather. I live in Wellington north of fort Collins. It takes is about an hour and half give or take for traffic and hauling.
djdr1988
I will have to check into that. I hope its open this year. Its a tradition of ours
djdr1988
One thing I should add because we had the problem in the past, there are 3 water crossings that have been a little deep in the past, but I still make it through with my two wheel drive. I will have a couple cans to be safe, but I would advise having some wd-40 with you. Last year my roommate's distributor got water logged. It took two days to figure it out. djdr1988
The last one at the cleanings talking about is usually the deepest. I have a stock 2 wheel drive Comanche and I am able to make it
USAFAGumby
If any trips get planned later on in the summer I should have my Comanche up here after June and would love to go. Never been on a trail run before and the truck is 4X4 stock so something simple would be awesome!
Alpine Paradise
I would love to lead you all into Colorado's real Mountains, the San Juans. I am very qualified as I have been giving 4x4 tours from Ouray and Telluride for over 27 years and I just got my new (to me) Comanche and would love to put it to use! Check out my Blog if you want to see my credentials ;-) www.alpineparadise.com . - USAFAGrumpy Sept is actually a great time of year in the mountains, most of the crowds are gone and Winter has not set in yet!-

COMJNUT
With the amount of rain that is hitting that area right now, I would be surprised if that area wasn't a mud pit the entire trail.
yellaheep
If we Colorado folks wanna get organized and do a meet & greet in Denver sometime, I have an RTI ramp I can bring. Good times can be had doing some parking lot flexing.......:D Image Not Found
COMJNUT
here's an idea: CORE, had easy stuff, has difficult stuff, has mud in certain places if you really want to play in it.
yellaheep
CORE is such a long way out there though......
