mpace6a
Tightened up my steering column, plugged all my connectors back in at the bottom of the column and now my wipers don't work. Blinkers, turn signals, and brights still work, but Not my wipers. AFAIK none of the column internals control the wipers, the switch is inside the "blinker arm", and I'm 99% sure all my connectors are plugged in at the bottom of the column, the only ones not plugged in are female 2prong connectors that I can't find any male ends for. Any ideas on what to check? Hard to drive in the snow and freezing rain with no wipers
onlyinajeep726
Do you have a setting for intermittent wiper? If so, the module underneath the dash may have just coincidentally took a dump. Best way to tell is unplug both ends and mate each plug together. You'll only have low and high settings in this case, but it should work if that's the problem. mpace6a
I have intermittent wipers so ill check that now. Where exactly is the module? There's a lot of stuff under the dash that I don't know what it is
Rockfrog
it's velcro'd to the lower dash panel just under the steering column ... black box about 3" square ... one plug on each side

Blue88Comanche
Those tend to go bad as well. I pulled 6 from the jy and only 1 worked.
mpace6a
Thanks guys, that was the problem. I bypassed the module and now my "high/low" setting is slow and slower. Is it worthwhile to try finding a new replacement, assuming theyre still available?
HOrnbrod
Yes, still available, $80 and up new, p/n 56006957. Grab one at the yard and hope it works. Plenty of used on Ebay too. I have a few, used but tested and okay, send PM if you are interested.
