sidepipe87
What's a good price to pay for 16" Moabs with like MTRs mounted. Found a set of 5 for $950, is this pretty average? Obviously doesnt seem to be a smoking deal but it does seem fair. Thoughts? Looking for some for the Comanche or just good Moabs cheap without tires. johnnyc
What size and condition are the MTRs? Some sellers think the Moabs are like gold, asking for $100+ per wheel. With some patience and luck, I found a set of five for $150 in great condition with zero curb rash.
sidepipe87
245/75/16 MTRs claimed a nd appear to be like new. Still have rubber nipples on them. They look to be $220 each new which is why i'm considering it, but I agree with you that it seems most owners think they have gold on their hands for some reason with the wheels. shelbyluvv
For that... $500 max. I have bought them for $150-$300 numerous times with tires and were a set of 5. Like Johnny said. They are not gold. You can pick up a set of knock off Moabs and Treadwright's for less than that.
johnnyc
For five brand new MTRs and Moab wheels, it probably cost the guy at least $1400. So $950 isn't bad. But see if he'll budge on the price a little.
JeepcoMJ
A new tire thats at the very least 8 years old is still an old tire, no matter how good it looks. And the mtrs suck anyways. That is a road rim with an off road tire that is loud on the road and terrible off it. Thats $500 max.
xjrev10
They are the old style MTRs? They are at least 3 or 4 years old minimum.

Like new as in he just put them on, not as in 8 years old with low mileage. The spare is the old tread pattern however. More info on where I can buy said knock off Moabs? I'm intrigued... EDIT - Did some searching and it looks like Tuff T20R is a Moab replica but they are still over $500 for a set before tires, I can find OEM Moabs for the same price. RockinMJ
They are like gold. I'm picking up my 4th set this Saturday. If you keep checking craigslist they are always some that pop up pretty cheap, but you better pounce on them.
