jimoshel Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 My little sis sent this to me. She said I was the first thing she thought of when she saw it.
airspeed Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 That's what I'm thinking... What kind of bike is that, Indian?
Akula69 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Yup! I told my son I'd rather have a refrigerator box under I-10 than to go into one of those death traps.
airspeed Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I got hit by a car many years ago. It was not a serious injury but it gave me a wake-up call, cars and bikes don't mix very well. To be honest, I would be afraid to ride a bike with the traffic the way it is.
NHMJXJ Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 That's what I'm thinking... What kind of bike is that, Indian? HD Softail. They ride like a buckboard.
jpdriver1 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 my last bike was back in the 80's -- a retired LAPD -- honda 750-4. when I received from the officer that rode it everyday, it still had lights and siren on it --- yeehaw
nitroxsteve Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Looks like a Softail Deluxe. I hope to be riding when I'm that age.

To be honest, I would be afraid to ride a bike with the traffic the way it is. I've never been hit by a car but I did T-Bone one once. Pulled out from a stop sign in front of me. Still got a steel rod in my left leg and a permanent limp from that one. And yes, I'm still riding.
HOrnbrod Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 What are you riding Jim? Still truckin the thumper cafe, at least once a week year round, but gave up on the interstates. It gets more uncomfortable though as time goes on. Time to get ordinary now. Am looking around for a nice comfortable upright BMW airhead. With a windshield......... Image Not Found
jimoshel Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 Daily ride alternates between a '78 HD 1200 and a '76 Honda 750 Got a '52 Ariel sguare four and a '45 Harley WD for back up.
jimoshel Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Got several. They're packed away. Be easier and quicker to take a couple more. Will post them ASAP.
jimoshel Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Boy was my mind of on that one. It is not a WD. It's a WLA. The military version with the blackout lites and tommy gun mount on the front fork and radio. 45 ci made in 1945. Geez am I losing it. I do have a pic of it in the puter. See if I can find it, or just go take another. one. '78 HD I can't get anything to upload. Just going to take some more and start over.

HOrnbrod Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Last time I moved I sold a couple. But NOT my babies. Anything current of the Ariel?
jimoshel Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 Nope. And I pretty much went thru everything. That's how I found them two posted above. Guess I'm just gonna have to go drag it out of the shed and take some. :dunno:
HOrnbrod Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 If you can Jim whenever you have the time on the Ariel that would be great. No hurry mate. Complete and running or parked for years and frozen?
