moos Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 I dig the utility bed do you have any info on it? Where are you located and how much for it?
Trapn6.0 Posted December 25, 2013 Author Posted December 25, 2013 Info....well its a steel utility bed, all the doors lock. Good overall condition. Made for a comance. Has fuel tank and e brake brackets. As for price I have no idea. Located in Colorado springs co.
SW86 Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 id re-think that hard line location. i had mine set up like that (not that far down) and they still got ripped off. once you get your axle how you want it, route them over the top of the leafs for a really safe location
Trapn6.0 Posted December 25, 2013 Author Posted December 25, 2013 Yea that's a good idea. Once I finalize everything ill go over the leaf.
moos Posted December 25, 2013 Posted December 25, 2013 If that bed is made for comanches I'd keep it because I've never seen or heard them made for it. Make a trailer so you can swap beds when ever, seems really cool an a good base for some sort of camping setup.I'd buy it but your two states over.if anyone knows what utility bed is a good match to this hit me up.
earl*t Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 The state of suspended animation and the state of confusion. :laughin: Just jokin' guys, couldn't help myself. If I wasn't on the East coast I'd be on it. I suppose I have an affinity for the odd or unusual. I also agree with Moos, it would make a nice platform for an Overlander, awesome trail rig, or work truck. The lockable storage potential is great.
Trapn6.0 Posted January 26, 2014 Author Posted January 26, 2014 Not much of an update but refreshed my grounds and beefed up my battery cables. Upgraded my headlight harness and I must say just doing that alone made the lights so much brighter. Also new valve cover gasket the nice blue one and while I was in there I did cruisers tip on trimming down the breather flutes.
Trapn6.0 Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 Finally got my bed on. Still need to wire up the tail lights and mount a bumper. But finallybits looking more like a comanche again.
Trapn6.0 Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Got the taillights wired up today. Had to steal the back half of a 92 mjs taillight harness and match it up to the renix wiring. Also put a stock bumper on for now until I get bumper made.
Trapn6.0 Posted February 18, 2014 Author Posted February 18, 2014 Replaced my vacuum harness with one from rock auto. In the process found my vacuum transducer broke of my egr valve. so I think a new egr valve is in my near future.
Trapn6.0 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Got my napier flares on and I really like the fit. Also added a hand throttle and it works awesome. I think it will come in handy on the trail.
Trapn6.0 Posted February 21, 2014 Author Posted February 21, 2014 Can't wait until it gets warmer dip I can paint the bed. Po put primer on top of factory paint.
88whitemanche Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 That's awesome man this truck is coming along nice
Trapn6.0 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Thanks for the compliments! Nothing to special just put new splined wheel lugs on. And removed the 2 overload springs so she sits level now.
Trapn6.0 Posted August 10, 2014 Author Posted August 10, 2014 Plans sort of changed for awhile. Pulled the lift off today. Went back to spring under. Jk coils and a 2" spacer up front. Put on some 33/10.5/15. Still runs good and has good flex. Just started touching the fender flares. 27" from ground to tire. Lol

Trapn6.0 Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Finally ask one color. Put some Bosch 4 hole injectors in also. And what a difference they make idle wise and throttle response.
