I'm pretty sure it's an LT1...the LS1, as I'm informed by the chevy dealer in town, is the 3800 buick that was in camaros etc. I've got a 3800 in my comanche...

Yar, The LS1 is god's gift to gearheads. Aluminum block and heads. They seem to hold up to about 700HP on the stock internals too.

 

Found in 4th gen f-bodies and C-5s. They should have put them in everything if you ask me. Then there'd be more in junkyards for me to steal.

No its not that I don't think the 9 will take the abuse, its the money he spent building it, I could have built a d60. Mostly I was commenting on the D44 and 39.5 Iroks on them, and a v-8 with no alloys.... I know a guy busting d44 shafts with a i-6 and 37's :eek:
