MJRemi
I'm buying a house in WA and might buy a truck I can leave up there for when I make sporadic trips to fix up the place. What is the cut-off years for avoiding emissions? I thought about taking my 87 but I really need a 8' bed to lug equipment and materials.
mnkyboy
Any vehicle between 5 and 25 years old needs testing. Depending on where your gonna be in Washington you may not have to worry about it, only a few counties do testing.
H3RESQ
I live in Olympia, I DO NOT have testing here. What area are you looking to buy? Also, if you don't have testing were you live now, just keep it registered in that state and drive it out here. Should not be a problem if its registered in your state and you have an address there too.
MJRemi
I'm buying in Sequim in Clallam County. I live in CA so 1976 or newer needs testing and CA isn't lenient. My truck is too small for the job that lies ahead so I'll get an older truck next time I get up there. I'll try to research whether Clallam tests or not.
