Oddmodman Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 This is exactly my style http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Lug-Nut.aspx?t_c=11&t_s=107&t_pt=3679&t_pn=croj4006956 . I HATE flat headed lug nuts. The problem is, 3 clams per nut is absolutely absurd!! I can't find them any cheaper either. Anyone know where to get this style for cheaper?
Geonovast Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I got a full set of one piece ones for about $30 at Advanced.
airspeed Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 How much threads on the studs protrude beyond the wheel when it is mounted? Mine are about 3/4 - 1.0", those little acorns won't work.
sinkrun Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-BULLET-ACORN-LUG-NUTS-1-2-20-FORD-MUSTANG-DODGE-5-LUG-5-ON-5-CHEVY-TRUCK-/251302927051?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a82d25acb&vxp=mtr
Oddmodman Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 I've seen those actually and they're just not what I want Sinkrun, but thanks for the thought :). Airspeed, you are correct about stud length. However if I could find these ones I want twice as long, that's what I'd get. I remember seeing very similar nuts on my Dad's vehicles growing up, and that style is just what I like.
64 Cheyenne Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I bought from this seller, they have many different styles in their store. I would and do plan on purchasing from them again. http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-BULLET-ACORN-LUG-NUTS-1-2-20-FORD-MUSTANG-DODGE-5-LUG-5-ON-5-CHEVY-TRUCK-/251302927051?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3a82d25acb&vxp=mtr
airspeed Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 The last time I was over at Costco getting tires I saw a rack that had a bunch of chrome lugs in it. I bet they had ~400 lug nuts in there, all different sizes and styles. $1.39 ea.
Oddmodman Posted July 12, 2013 Author Posted July 12, 2013 That's not bad. Probably don't have anything cool like that at the Costco here.
mvusse Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Summit racing has them in a set of 20 for $30. I picked up 20 of them at Pull-a-Part for $12.60.
Keyav8r Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 Amazon.com - they had almost every kind when I was looking for some.
