Rear Drive Shaft

Recommended Posts

A rubber drive shaft will have 8-10 inches of stretch. It might work.

XJs didn't have the rubber isolator, so no go with that.

You can basically forget any rear XJ shafts.  It's been contemplated that certain 2wd XJ shafts may work in 4wd MJ applications, but I haven't seen any comparable measurements.  You're going to be better off having yours hacked down than spending time, energy, and money into finding one that'll work.

Thats what I was thinking, i was just wondering a guy is parting a cherokee out and he is selling stuff off of it CHEAP in my opinion. Just thought that if it worked id snatch it up.

Lol, I think he has it but I'm not sure, i was thinking about taking the center console, but i don't know if it would fit in my MJ

I have an XJ center console in my MJ.

Is yours an auto trans? and what year did you get it out of?

mine is a 86-96 center console, not sure if it was auto or stick.. gotta love ebay, anyway the shifter stuff can be swapped
