dasbulliwagen
Got up to the stop light this evening in the left turn lane. 2 spots ahead of me is a truck, and when the incredibly short left turn light turns green, the truck, bucks and jumps and doesnt go anywhere. This happens for three or four cycles of the light, with traffic backing up the whole time, at which point, I back up a little so I can turn left and jump the concrete curb median, cross the opposite lane of traffic, jump another curb and go across the front lawn of a Blockbuster Video store, then down a curb into the parking lot! I remembered i needed gas anyways, and the station was right there also, so it worked out.

Keyav8r
Just be glad none of those guys with the little blue lights were around! But, I definitely know the feeling - Come on DA, get that thing out of my way! Impatient? Who? Me?
AeroNautical
Reminds me of a time I parked at a garage up to a hill. A tow truck pulled behind me just as I was about to leave and wouldn't move. So I put it in first and climb the hill in front of me, about a 45 degree angle through rocks and grass, 5 or so feet above into a gas station. It was awesome. dasbulliwagen
I did this one other time back when I had my Grand Wagoneer. We were going to a concert, waiting in line to get into the parking lot. I spot a primo open spot from the road, so I cut across the grass, over the curb ( Which was much taller than I anticipated) and into the spot! It was awesome! And now that I think of it, I wonder if they were charging for parking???

gogmorgo
Did that once on Dec. 23rd, shopping. Traffic was backed up like crazy, very few parking spots left at the biggest mall in the province. There were a few spots left in the back corner of one section, but a truck was sitting in the single lane entrance, and was trying to turn left but no one was letting him in, so I couldn't drive through. Traffic was backing up behind me, since I was waiting for him, and after about two minutes I simply said @#$% it, cranked the wheel, and bounced my parents Impala up the curb and over a sidewalk and flower bed, then back down the other side. My brother and sister were screaming at me the whole time and I got called all kinds of names, but I got parked, and out of the road.

Was like @#$% it and jumped the curb / mowed down the lawn. Made it about 5 minutes down the road and realized i popped my tire lol /karma. My WK Grand Cherokee even has auto stick (sport shifter) it's always fun to play with a V8 even if its just a 4.7L I can't wait to get my uncle's 1990 300ZX running again its a blast to drive with the T-Tops off! gogmorgo
Was like @#$% it and jumped the curb / mowed down the lawn. Made it about 5 minutes down the road and realized i popped my tire lol /karma. I remember when I first figured out not to hit hard edges at any kind of speed... I was around seven or eight years old. It involved a bike, a steep hill, a curb, a twisted front wheel, a lot of blood, and a long wait in an alley before help showed up...

There was a big slice in the tire, Ran over glass or something in the grass.
wurst
I've seen the engine bay of the 300zx twin turbo and I'll be damned if I'm going to even attempt to work on one of those things. There's black magic voodoo involved in the assembly/repair.
