noboundaries.jd
wipers only have one speed: slowww. through some searching i found Cruiser's Renix tips thread and decided the dash ground upgrade would be an ideal place to start before i worry with replacing hardware. right off the bat i was thrown a curve-ball. i can't locate the factory ground. i see a bolt hole with scratched paint surrounding it. i am guessing this is where it was originally. the guages work, buzzer, dome, blah blah blah...does anyone have a pic of what it should look like? as well i found some misc dangling connections. to the best of my knowledge everything is working so they may be old or terminated but, i wanted you guys to have a look and let me know if you recognize any of them. the first pic is of the hood release and what i think was the original grounding point, the second of where i am supposing the jumper should mount and the rest are obviously the misc connections. thanks so much for your help guys! 87MJTIM
Ok, here ya go. For the wire harnesses, the first is C178 - Headlight Display Module (optional) The second is the C253 - cruise control module The last is the C355 - Emission maintenance timer. http://comancheclub.com/topic/12083-electrical-manual/ If you have not already downloaded this, I recommend you download and save it. cruiser54
Any other issues besides the slow wipers? That is the ground for the wiper motor, if you got the right one. Snap a photo of the ground you found please and post it up.

ParadiseMJ
Wiper control module gone bad? That's what my issue was in my '88 XJ. You can check the intermittent module by unplugging it at the module and plugging the two ends together. If it fixes the speed problem replace the module. While you have the module out, you won't have intermittent wipers, so put the wipers on the second or third click.
