V8 ZJ springs, especially if they came from a ZJ with the Up Country suspension, are a bit taller and higher rate, so they give about a 1" to maybe 1-1/2" lift when used in an XJ or MJ.

Thanks,

He told me to get 4.5" lift ZJ springs when I do the front lift. Did not know why unless it was for the winch when we mount it.

I can maybe see swapping these in if a buddie has them or you just run across them for cheap.....

But if your going to the trouble of ordering coils to lift your rig...Why not just BUY THE RIGHT ONES!! ;)

These are the springs I got. They say 5.5 on xj and 4" on a zj.http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Products.aspx?Cn=326&Pn=1710&XnPath=320,322,326&Vid=746F441122900

a stiffer spring would be better if you have a big winch and a heavy front bumper on your truck, but if you have it pretty stock up front then just get the right ones for the xj/mj

my brothers truck has the RE zj springs and they hold his winch+Jcr bumper off the ground pretty well. theyre 4.5" (for an xj) coils and that plus 2" spacer he's running 35s. with all that crap on the front.

doesnt ride rough and if the CA's could move it would flex like crazy.
