I have five good rims with great tread that I would like to use on my 1988 Comanche. If I use wheel adapters to get the correct bolt circle will p235/65R17's fit without rubbing? Figure rims will be pushed out 1.25-1.5 with adapter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim

Not knowing the specs on the rims, I would say that you are on the right track. There is a thread on Naxja about using 17 and 18 inch rims form Chrysler 300 and dodge Chargers 2005 and newer. So I don't see why it wouldnt work. Show us some pics when done!

The Charger/Magnum/300 rims will fit but are not exact bolt pattern distance. They are off by a few mm. I don't know if that has any ill effect regarding long term use, or not. The Dodge Caliber has stock 17" & 18" with the 5x4.5" bolt pattern but I haven't checked the backspacing for compatibility yet. If they work, I'm going to lean towards those for the correct bolt pattern.

Does this help?

My post says using adapters (5 on 4.5 to 5 on 5).  Wheels are rogue Jeep Grand Cherokee Rims total dia is 29" with a 9.3 section width. The adapter is 1.25" thick.  From WJ siteAll 17x7.5" Wheels:    Backspacing = 6.25"   Offset = 50.8mm    Bolt pattern = 5x5 (5x127mm)
